A Simple Beginning – A Warmup
We could all probably agree that warming up before a sport is necessary. But do you feel stuck or unmotivated about what to do? Let Anna share a few simple, researched-based ideas of movements that matter to help you warmup, safely and effectively. (Anna promises to leave her boom box and her 5-6-7-8-count style at home.) Time: approximately 10-12 minutes
A Soothing End – A Cooldown
Interested in re-igniting your natural calm energy, and releasing some tension and tightness in your mind and body? Sink yourself into this 20-minute easy-to-follow soothing relaxation session, and smooth out some of those aching, tight body parts. Anna will show you ways to refresh and restore the feet, hands, and wrists; to melt the tension from your neck, shoulders, and hips; and to release and strengthen the spine. Be prepared to sit on the ground and to enjoy the art of working “in” and not out. Flexibility, yoga-experience, and coordination are not required. Regain the freedom of movement without working.
Time: approximately 20 minutes

Anna has been teaching dynamic and diverse athletic, fitness, and dance classes for over 25 years. She is an educator and has experience teaching in different disciplines and in various settings (for example, science in highschool, junior high, university; fitness in daycares, communities, out-reach programs; dance at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, out-reach community centres, schools). She holds numerous training certificates in fitness programming. To stay current, she attends several fitness, health and wellness conferences per year learning from top training and wellness professionals. Anna’s devoted to teaching others about FUNctional integrated movement (learning to move well in our daily lives , in sports and activities), and about balancing our subtle energy systems (first working energy into the body before putting it out).
